Banking

Systems for deposit-taking institutions, where integration, auditability and regulatory deadlines set the constraints.

Banking technology is constrained by two things that rarely apply elsewhere: a core system you cannot simply replace, and reporting deadlines with regulatory consequences attached. Most of the useful work happens in the layer between those two facts.

Where we work

Around the core, not through it. Whether the core is a vendor platform or something inherited, the practical path is an integration and services layer that lets you build modern experiences and analytics without a core replacement programme. We design those boundaries so the core stays a system of record rather than a bottleneck.

Payments and money movement. ACH, wires, card, and real-time rails each carry their own timing, exception and reconciliation behaviour. Exception handling is where the operational cost actually lives, and it is usually the least designed part of the flow.

Onboarding, KYC and AML. Identity verification, document collection, sanctions and PEP screening, and the alert triage that follows. Document-heavy, decision-heavy, and audited, which is exactly where AI-assisted extraction and review earn their place.

Regulatory and financial reporting. Call reports, BSA/AML filings, and internal risk reporting depend on data lineage you can defend. We build the pipelines and the governance so a number can be traced to its source, not just produced.

What tends to matter

Auditability over cleverness. Any system touching money movement or regulatory filing needs to explain what it did and why, months later, to someone who was not there. We design for that from the start, with immutable event records, explicit decision logging, and reproducible reporting runs.
